September 9, 1966 actor Nestor Paiva died at 61. He performed in over 400 films. He appeared in a variety of TV series during the 1950s and early 1960s. Known for his recurring role as the innkeeper Teo Gonzales in the late 1950s TV series Zorro, as well as in its adapted theatrical release The Sign of Zorro (1958). Paiva played the boat captain Lucas in the movie Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) and in the sequel Revenge of the Creature (1955).
