From on this day August 31, 2015 our Entertainment Reporter Mark Mayhew interviewed one of the oldest radio DJs in the US for podcast 606 of The Riley and Kimmy Show. At that time (2015) the radio DJ had been broadcasting daily for 53 years at a location outside Chicago, Illinois. With this post are some photos of radio disc jockey (and radio station owner) Joe Salvi and of his radio station (WLUV-AM Loves Park/Rockford, Illinois). Note: Radio DJ Joe Salvi/Papa Joe died January 28, 2020 and Mark Mayhew died January 10, 2017.
