Podcast Mae West Golden Age of Radio Tribute

Actress/singer/comedian Mae West was born August 17, 1893. The American Film Institute named her 15th among the greatest female stars of classic American cinema. On this special podcast we have a Golden Age of Radio comedy that caused Mae West to be banned from radio for years.  On December 27, 1937 Mae West’s performance is considered so risque for the
time period it causes her and her name to be banned from a radio network. She would not
perform on radio again until 1950. For your listening pleasure...this is the historic episode with Edgar Bergen, Charlie McCarthy and actor Don Ameche in its
entirety.
